You may have heard rumors that the Ford Bronco is coming back. Well, we are here to tell you that those rumors are true. In fact, not only is the beloved Bronco making a comeback, but so is the Ford Ranger pickup.
Ford announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, that both models are headed back to production at the Michigan Assembly Plant near Detroit.
“We’ve heard our customers loud and clear,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s President of the Americas. They want a new generation of vehicles that are incredibly capable yet fun to drive.”
The Ranger mid-size pickup will return to the Ford lineup for the 2019 model year, while the Bronco will return in 2020 as a mid-size SUV. With the Ranger, buyers will get a new, affordable pickup option that is still rugged and functional, but also a lot more maneuverable thanks to its smaller size. As for the Bronco, it will be geared towards adventurers who want to head beyond the beaten path and will come in a 4×4 utility form.
Here at Riverside Ford, we are thrilled to see both of these iconic models coming back to the Ford lineup and can’t wait to have them here on our showroom floor.
